MY SPF ROTATION

There are very few beauty products I repurchase without thinking. Sunscreen is one of them.

Over the years I've tried what feels like hundreds of SPFs—from cult favorites to dermatologist recommendations. These are the ones that became staples. The ones I've emptied, repurchased, and packed into nearly every trip.

What I love about this lineup is that it's not one sunscreen trying to do everything. It's four, each doing one thing really well—daily wear, travel, glow, coverage. Here's the breakdown.

The One That Lives In My Bag: BLOOMEFFECTS Tulipscreen Shield SPF 50

Whether I'm hiking or at the beach, I love having a sunscreen stick that's effortless to reapply. No messy hands, no excuse not to do it.

It's one of those products that makes sun protection feel easy—which means I actually remember to use it.

The Everyday Staple: OSEA Marine Screen SPF 50

My everyday mineral SPF. Finding a mineral sunscreen that blends in sheer on skin isn't always easy, but this one gets it right. It wears beautifully and feels comfortable all day long.

The One That Doubles As A Primer: Ciele Prime & Protect SPF

This has become my favorite sunscreen because it doubles as a beautiful primer. It leaves skin looking healthy, radiant, and a little more dewy. If you prefer something more natural, their original primer has a softer finish.

The One With Coverage:CIELE Tint & Protect SPF 50

A tinted sunscreen that gives medium coverage, feels hydrating on skin, and blends in effortlessly. My go-to when I want a little more coverage. I use shade 03 Light.

I've learned that the best sunscreen isn't necessarily the most expensive or the trendiest—it's the one you'll actually look forward to putting on every morning.

VINTNER'S DAUGHTER Active Botanical Serum

This serum is magic and the scent alone amazing. I’ve been using this product for a couple years now and love it. I’ve noticed better hydration, skin tone and texture. It’s a splurge but one of the best face oils I’ve used so far.

This blue balm is designed for all skin types and melts on touch into liquid oil. My skin is extra dry during winter and this has been a lifesaver. I use it as a nightly treatment and I love how it also helps with inflammation and redness.

EVENING SKINCARE ROUTINE

BeautyRoutine.jpg

I start with this gentle and moisturizing Kahina Beauty Cleanser and I cleanse again with the Boscia Detoxifying Black Charcoal Cleanser. I double cleanse because the cream or oil based cleansers help dissolve make-up, and sunscreen. The foaming cleansers helps clean the residual oil and dirt from pores.

After drying my face, I spray my skin with Rose Geranium Facial Tonic. Some toners can be drying but this one helps my skin get hydrated so my serums and moisturizers can penetrate my skin better.

Next step, I massage my Herbivore Botanics Pink Cloud Cream into the skin and when my skin needs extra hydration I add a few drops of Herbivore Botanics Phoenix Facial Oil. If you have combination skin you may want to try this facial oil. I finish off with a Facial Roller which help products absorb better into your skin.

Goodnight.

AFRICAN BOTANICS Fleurs D'Afrique Intensive Recovery Face Oil / MUN Aknari Brightening Youth Serum / HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Pink Cloud / HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Phoenix Facial Oil and Orchid Facial Oil (More from Herbivore Botanicals) / HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Rose Quartz Facial Roller / SANSO Ceramics

AFRICAN BOTANICS Fleurs D'Afrique Intensive Recovery Face Oil: My skin becomes duller-looking in the winter months because it's so dry. Dry skin tends to look less radiant than hydrated skin, but that dryness can also lead to buildup of dead cells on the surface. I love this Fleurs D'Afrique Intensive Recovery Face Oil, it helps with UV damage, pollution, harsh climates and it's great for all skin types.

MUN Aknari Brightening Youth Serum: Another great winter pick-me-up is this Aknari Brightening Youth SerumPrickly Pear Seed Oil is extremely rich in Linoleic Essential Fatty Acid and super antioxidant Vitamin E. This helps smooth out skin and lighten dark spots and sun damage. It also works great as under eye-treatment because it helps with brightening and inflammation.

HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Pink Cloud: A good cream is a must for your winter skincare routine. Pink Cloud face cream is high in active natural ingredients like Rose Water, Aloe Water, Kukui Oil and White Tea Extract. I love how well it hydrates and leaves my face dewy not greasy. Sometimes I add a drop of Phoenix Facial Oil or Orchid Facial Oil for extra hydration.

HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Phoenix Facial Oil and Orchid Facial OilAfter cleansing and toning, apply oil for an extra dose of moisture. Oils are great no matter the season, but it’s especially helpful during the cold and dry months. For a lightweight oil, try Orchid Facial Oil, it's not heavy and works for all skin types. If you need more moisture like me, the  Phoenix Facial Oil works wonders

HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Rose Quartz Facial RollerI usually combine this tool with any of the oils and creams above, it helps my skin absorb more product. Integrating a facial roller into your skincare routine helps to tighten pores, promotes lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness (Tip: place the stone in the refrigerator or on ice), eliminate toxins and even out skin tone.
